James joined Hanby Welding & Engineering in 2021 as a young apprentice at the age of 17. After completing his apprenticeship James stayed with the company moving into a supervision and operation management role.


James is a qualified Certified Pressure welder to AS1796 and carries qualifications in ISO9606, Non-destructive testing using Magnetic Particle & Dye Penetrate and other industry courses such as, First Aid, Working Safely at Heights, Confined Space and Atmospheric testing.


Throughout James’s time so far as a Boilermaker / Pressure welder he has been involved with numerous projects, however most notably the construction of a Process plant in Mt Molloy involving steam pipe lines, process pipe spools and the fabrication of plant infrastructure. 


James is incredibly talented and tenacious and is highly sort after by clients due to his ability to think on his feet and move projects along.



Along with working on his own projects, James oversees the daily operations both in the workshop and onsite, purchases materials and project organisation.
