Deanna has been an essential part of the birth of Hanby Welding & Engineering. Originally sitting behind the scenes and quietly supporting the company at night after completing a full day on the tools as an electrician, she would come home and work on the accounts for the company.

Starting her apprenticeship in 1991 at major thermal power plants in New South Wales, before moving to Cairns to work as an electrician for the Australian Maritime Safety Authority. It quickly become obvious Deanna needed to spend more time supporting and developing the business. 



Deanna has an immense amount of knowledge ranging from office administration to heavy industrial electrical and brings a numerous number of notable skills into Hanby Welding & Engineering. 

Having completed an Advanced Certificate in Small Business Operations means she has the immense task off running the office and client relations. 

When Deanna is not in the office, she is out on the tools doing our in-house electrical repairs and upgrades, as she still holds her electrical contractor’s license. 

Deanna’s role also involves overseeing the daily operation of the workshop, management of employee’s, purchasing material & social media management.
