Certified welding is undertaken by a highly qualified individual with more experience than a trades qualified boilermaker. They have undergone extensive additional training and testing which is revalidated on a frequent basis. At Hanby Welding & Engineering, we provide specialised welding for customers throughout Cairns and Australia wide.

Specialised welding refers to the capability to be able to weld the more exotic and unusual metals. Although this type of welding isn’t normally done to a conformity standard such AS1554, it nevertheless requires an extensive knowledge of metallurgy, welding processes, post- and pre-heat procedures and the availability of electrodes to match parent metals.
